The SRTP Programme

February 2009 - LeafTc are pleased to announce the release of the new SRTP self assessment programme.

What is SRTP?

SRTP is a Microsoft Excel based core element of a self assessment, points based programme, designed to enhance sustainability in the supply chain, by promoting continuous improvement. It is designed to be completed annually by key players and submitted as their "Return". Its accuracy is assessed by periodic visits of a Verification Review Team.

The system should not be confused with a "pass or fail" certification system. All suppliers are engaged and remain viable provided that they show clear commitment to continual improvements in their CSR over time.

The SRTP Programme was designed to complement and further enhance the "SRTP Roadmaps" as developed by British American Tobacco.   The new SRTP Programme supersedes the "SRTP Roadmap" self assessment system for annual returns, but does automatically produce a "roadmap" level for comparison with previous returns.

A new version of the roadmaps covering all sections of the SRTP programme has been developed and is available for download on the downloads page. These should be used as reference for the new SRTP system.
